Holly is just like any other 4-month-old puppy. She loves to play and pounce with her puppy pals and rolls on her back to enjoy belly rubs from the SCCA staff. But Holly is different from her other canine companions. When this tiny shepherd mix came to SCCA through the Navajo Nation Puppy Program, SCCA staff was startled to discover a heart murmur during her medical examination.

An animal heart specialist from Tucson paid a visit to Holly this past week at SCCA to do an ultra sound of her tiny heart. It was discovered that Holly has a mild Pulmonic-Stenosis. This is a narrowing of one of the valves in her heart. Despite this condition, Holly has a great chance at a normal and happy life.

SCCA is looking for a very special family for Holly. Her forever family needs to commit to her emotionally and financially to continue yearly echo cardiograms to monitor her condition. This playful and trusting pup has the spirit to make any pet parent proud. Will you be Holly’s miracle this holiday season? Please help send this courageous puppy home for the holidays.
